Rubber Production Incentives

1. For the Information of all smallholder / rubber tappers, effective 1st January 2016, the rubber incentives provided by the State Government will no longer be included in the current rubber prices as practiced in the previous year. The said incentive will only be paid the following month.

2. For an instant, rubber sold to LIGS in January 2016, Rubber Production Incentives will only be paid in February 2016 and subsequent months. The rate of production incentives paid will be determined at the end of every month.

3. The incentive rate is derived from the difference between the floor price and the actual average price during the month. The floor price for Cup lumps grade 2 is RM2.00/kg. For example, if the average actual price of cup lumps grade 2 for the month of January 2016 is RM1.25/kg, rubber production incentive to be paid is (RM2.00 – RM1.25) = RM0.75 /kg.

4. The change in payment practice is to rationalise the incentive payments so that the intended target group can be achieved.

5. For speedy payment of the incentives, LIGS has endeavor to pay the incentives directly into small holders’ bank accounts. Smallholders are encouraged to open a Bank Simpanan Nasional account or any local commercial bank. Smallholders with existing account can submit their account number as well as copies of bank account / pay slip to LIGS for further action.
